Contact form
Anyone using the form submits a name, an email address and the content of the message. These details are used solely to answer the enquiry and to carry out any project arising from it. They are stored in Cloud Firestore (Google) and are not passed on to any further third party. Details from enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are deleted after twelve months at the latest.
The form is protected against automated submissions. No additional personal data is collected for this and no third-party services are involved.
Usage statistics
This website uses Google Analytics 4 through Firebase (Google Ireland Limited, Ireland) to see how it is used: which pages are opened, how long someone stays, which address they arrived from, along with details of browser, operating system and approximate location. Cookies are set for this (_ga and_ga_XHZFS637F4), together with a randomly generated identifier stored in the browser that holds a visit together across several pages.
These figures are evaluated in aggregate. They serve to make the website clearer. They are not used for advertising, not sold to third parties, and not combined with what is submitted through the contact form.
Anyone who would rather not take part can refuse or delete the cookies in their browser, use a content blocker, or install Google’s opt-out add-on. The website works exactly the same without these figures.
Linked websites
The projects named here point to independent websites. As soon as those are opened, their own privacy policies apply.
Processing abroad
Hosting and the database are operated by Google. Data may therefore be processed in countries outside Switzerland and the EEA. The transfer is based on the Standard Contractual Clauses of the European Commission and on corresponding contractual assurances.
Rights of data subjects
Within the scope of applicable law you have the right to obtain information about the personal data processed, and to have it corrected, deleted or handed over. You may also object to processing. A message to info@orc.software is sufficient to exercise these rights. Proof of identity may be requested in order to prevent misuse.
Anyone who considers that the processing infringes applicable law may contact the competent supervisory authority. In Switzerland this is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
Changes
This policy is adjusted whenever the processing changes. The version published on this page at the time is the one that applies.
